Free Compilation #1

One question I've been asked frequently is how i can discover new music. Easy, you need passion. Newspaper, magazine, poster, and of course internet can also help out. Some artists are generous enough to put one song to label/band/music website as a taster for the rest. Not as many doing it today as before since the development of online stream and myspace. However still I am able to make the below selection named Free Compilation #1. They are the ones I've been listening for the past weeks. See whether they can lust you ^_* (Just click the title and it will direct you to download page).

01 - The Notwist - Good Lies (From upcoming album The Devil, You + Me)
Most anticipated album this year, I'm confident it will worth the 6 years' waiting.

02 - Stars - The Night Starts Here (From In Our Bedroom After The War, 2007)
The first delighted discovery this year. The warm sound is exactly what you need in the cold winter.

03 - Neon Neon - I Lust You (From the fresh debut, Stainless Style, 2008)
Fresh collaboration between Boom Bip and Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals. 80's synth sound is always around.

04 - Nada Surf - See These Bones (From 2008 new album Lucky)
Fine indie rock.

05 - Pluramon - Border (From The Monstrous Surplus, 2007)
Only know he is doing shoegazing/post-rock and that's the first song I've heard from him.
Very nice.

06 - Why? - The Hollows (From their third effort, Alopecia, 2008)
Anticon is on the transformation from hip-hop to indie rock/electronic, and Why? is surely plalying an important role. Great media praise for the album.

07 - Envy - All That's Left Has Gone To Sleep (From 2008 EP, Abyssal)
Nearly romantic sound from heavy metal? For sure I still like Mono the most, but bands like Envy or Boris can't be ignored.

08 - Parcific UV - Need (From 2008 new album Longplay 2)
Another surprising band gets to know this year. Need more time to know them more ha...

09 - Kim Hiorthoy - I Thought We Could Eat Friends (From My last Day, 2007)
I thought we could eat friends. Em...Yummy...

10 - No Kids - The Beaches All Closed (A funny song from Come Into My House, 2008)
Indie R & B? Ohooo!

11 - Chris Walla - Sing Again (From his 2008 debut solo album Field Manual)
Guitarist from Death Cab For Cutie. He is trying show that he knows much more than that.

12 - Willits + Sakamoto - Toward Water (From their 12K collaboration Ocean Fire)
Modern classical. A perfect ending.
