Compiled here, an EP collection, a remix compilation, and a double-disc rare track combination/acoustic reworking album. Most of time those types aren’t attract profound attention for various reasons, e.g. watery, lack of coherence, or just boring. By contrast, these 3 albums set the criterion how compilation album should sound.
Covering from the initial Japanese only release to the out-of-print the Storied Travels In Constant Series’ EP, Mono illustrates a clear path through their almost a decade career. Even though moving from progressive post-rock to a more orchestral territory, they never lost the authenticity. At an icy winter night, Mono points out the brightest star in the dark sky.
Remix album passes its heyday long time ago, and there is little sign of revival. Nonetheless, Telefon Tel Aviv has done a good job. Careful selection, dreamy collaboration, perfectionist production, all makes Remixes Compiled sounded so groovy. Just switch on your best sounding equipment, turn the volume loud, and TTA will do the move. Are you my knock my down girl?
Lastly the unconventional live album from Sigur Rós. Its original proposal was to accompany the release of their ‘everybody amazed including me’ documentary Heima. Elegant Sigur Rós never do an easy job, so they eventually came up with this innovative live album, or two albums: an electric rarity and an acoustic reworking live recording. It seems, everybody is familiar with the Icelandic landscape…Cold, windy, but unforgettable…

If you want to listen to some of them, best place to go might be www.boomkat.com (or just click the link from the top right). type in the band name or the album name in search box, you will find an item says mp3 release which could be previewed. click that item and press the play bottom of the song.but u will only find few of the favourites listed here though...
